I have wanted to go to Scooter's for a while now, and I am going to go tonight. But, does anyone know of a cool place to eat outside near there? The type of food does not matter.

Fizz has an outdoor patio, and it is right around the corner from Scooter's.

    Four Moon Tavern
    1847 W Roscoe St
    Chicago, IL 60657

    Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar
    3358 North Paulina St
    Chicago, IL

    I prefer Four Moon.

My only experience at Fizz was being seated outside and waiting for service long enough to decide that we didn't really want to eat there.

Both Volo and Village Tap have back patios. Volo is more of a wine bar with food, but their menu is very tasty and offers lots of good appetizers. Their patio has great little cabana tables along one side as well as others out in the open. Village Tap is a beer bar (great draft selection) with good burgers and a great beer garden out back. It has a retractable roof so it's open year-round!

Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon? Ham? Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal.
Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.
