I had a blast too, sorry I missed the last stop but I had another Internet friends get together to get to. Playing traffic coordinator was fun too:)

My absolute favorite of the day was the fresh rasberry sorbetto at Bellezza. Just bursting with flavor and seeds and deliciousness. The pistachio at Canady was my top pick for gelato.

Freddy's was as good as always; I was disappointed that the seafood risotto was sold out but the gnocchi I had were some of the fluffiest pillowlike I've had, I really need to try some more of these elsewhere, any tips, mhays?

I only took a few pictures but I will put them up on Flickr when I get home.
I used to think the brain was the most important part of the body. Then I realized who was telling me that.

Thanks again to Hellodali and happy_stomach for planning such a great event! I only sampled the gelato at Canady's and Bellezza Gelato, but had a salad, tomato and sausage penne and eggplant/chicken parmesan at Freddy's and a sour cherry custard puffpastry at Pasticceria Natalina. Everyone on the Giro was friendly and helpful, especially when I had a few technical problems with my borrowed bike! I can't wait until the next event!

Thanks from me too! It was a wonderful time, and there was not a disappointing scoop in the bunch.

I had every flavor offered at Canady plus a bowl of Chocolate and Strawberry, Pineapple and Coconut at Caffe Gelato, Pinocchio (peanut butter with peanuts and chocolate) at Freddy's, a sample of Roman Rocky Road (cherry ice cream with cherries, chocolate, and marshmallows) and a bowl of Banana Fudge Praline and Turkish Coffee at Bellezza, in case anyone wants to try those. The Banana is quite sweet, but otherwise they were all knockouts. It's really hard to pick a favorite, but one that stands out was the Turkish Coffee, and I'm not the biggest fan of coffee. But it had bits of coffee grounds in it that made it really something. I'll swing by Canady's soon to try the grapefruit gelato.
