Google microbrew map

Medill Reports, an on-line source for work by Medill journalism graduate students, currently has an article about microbreweries here. A special bonus is a map of local microbreweries available in larger Google format over by here. Some, like Emmett's Alehouse or Stockholms Vardshus I've never heard of. But what a handy map for local travel in times of high gas prices!

Unfortunately, still not one within walking distance of my house .

Medill Reports is a jounalism resource I just stumbled into today, via a link in Gaper's Block. Looked interesting enough to bookmark, so I thought I'd give a mention.

Just came across the Chicago Beer Map (and searched and found it had already been mentioned on LTH, of course). Very interesting, particularly in the sense that it gives relatively high scores to some places I've never heard about.

It looks like the overall points are calculated on a 5 point scale covering three categories: Beer Selection, Atmosphere, and Service. Price and Food ratings are included in the reviews for reference but do not affect the overall score.
