    Hi Everyone,

I am planning a trip to Milwaukee this weekend. Albeit I am not new to the city (live in Chicago), I've yet to really explore the city.

Anyone have any recommendations where to pick up a decent micro brew (Lakefront Brewery gets a lot of positive press), food, nightlife, eccentric fun etc..?

Can't wait to hear back :)

    Thanks,
    Kurt

I think Gilbert & George might count as eccentric fun. Not my cup of tea, but the G & G retrospective at the Milwaukee Art Museum could be worth a stop. If you don't want to go inside the museum, just stop by at noon to watch the Calatrava wings open and close from the bridge or anywhere on the museum grounds (if you're prone to motion sickness like I am, don't watch from the Calatrava bridge on a windy day). The lesson I learned last weekend is to skip the Calatrava Cafe, which isn't worth any convenience.

my friend's band Organ Wolf is playing at a little bar/cafe called Lulu. (never been but i've heard it has very good, simple food and drinks)
they play instrumental, organ spacerock, it should be fun.
