Does anyone know anything about the new Counter Burger place opening on Diversey? It appears to be a build-your-own burger concept that's part of a chain out of California. Curious if anyone is familiar with their other locations? thanks.

Looks good to me, although it might eat into business at Duke's (which is what I would describe as a poor man's Kuma's).

I am going to Duke's tonight. I live nearby and, having seen that they do Turkey Burgers, I have wanted to give them a try.

Any suggestions on which of the topping options to order?

I always get the breakfast burger (fried egg and bacon), but I always get beef so I'm not sure how well this would work with turkey. The Wife always gets the Greek (olives and feta), but again always beef.

Back to The Counter. I just walked by, and it looks like it's going to be awhile before it opens. The spaces is in pretty rough shape. "Summer 2008" may be a bit ambitious, but we'll see.

    Thanks for the quick tip.

That Greek sounds good, and I am with you on the status of the newest eating establishment in the neighborhood. Looks like it will take alot of work to meet even the September 20th last calendar day of Summer.

Maybe its just me but the burgers being built on the web-site are some of the most unappetizing burgers I have ever seen. To say they appear dry is a major understatment.

I had exactly the same thought. i didn't even see one burger on their website that looked good. Now, the blonde in the photos section of the website would be worth a visit even if the burgers were made of dirt.
