My world has caved in. One of my favorite dishes in the world is lamb ribs. Jewel has been selling them for quite awhile, usually they only get a few packages a week to sell. They are simply the tiny lamb ribs cut into single ribs (they call them riblets). A package usually has about 20 ribs. My local jewel just informed me that they have a new lamb supplier and will no longer be able to get them. I've asked at several other markets and no one knows what I'm talking about. It's like asking for chicken wings about 30 years ago. Can anyone offer any suggestions? please.

If you're talking about what I think you are, I'd check at Marketplace on Oakton, or one of the groceries with a butcher shop along Devon. I'm guessing many ethnic butchers carry them.

When you say you have asked at several other markets, do you mean butchers? I think most butchers would be able to get you any cut that you want with a little notice.

Could you be a little more specific?
I found some pictures of cuts of lamb that may be helpful - and may also help you at the butcher's. I can't imagine that anyplace that deals in whole animals (I know some of the places on Devon do) wouldn't be able to offer what you're asking for, so it may be an issue of semantics.
There are actually two different kinds of ribs that might help you differentiate: if you click the link for "ribs," you get the rack with lamb chops - but if you click "breast" there's something called "Denver Ribs" which may be what you've been looking for. Hope this helps.
