    Hi,

Thanks Sharon for the article alert. When I went to the kitchen the article was laying out for me to read. Jeremy Jackson is from the University of Iowa, whose been to Culinary Historians. I am especially interested in trying Martha Washington's recipe.

A friend of a friend (1 degree of separation) is on the Pie Council. I didn't realize they were based in Lake Forest, I think I will give them a call sometime soon.

Apple - National Pie Day? Oh I guess I need to make something special for that occasion.

My favorite almost-extinct pie: Concord Grape.

Thanks for keeping me up to date.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
