I have been here before, and of course, had wine. Does anyone know if they serve cocktails? I can't tell from their website. I am looking for a place like this to meet a friend I haven't seen in awhile, and actually be able to converse and hear what he has to say.

I was just at Juicy Wine Bar and, although I didn't have any cocktails, I am pretty sure that they had some on the menu. They also have a nice (but small) outdoor deck area. If you want to talk, you might want to sit there since the main room can be a bit loud.

The one time I went to Paramount Room it wasn't very loud. In fact, it was pretty empty.

Another option is the Iguana Cafe. I don't think they have cocktails, but I could be wrong.

Finally, Matchbox is close by. They have great cocktails. The outside seats are very conversation-friendly.

The Paramount Room can get a bit noisy at the bar, tables in back less so and the large nicely appointed, in a disco(ish) fashion, downstairs lounge has been library quiet the couple of times I've been down there. Bets are off if there is a private party.

    Enjoy,

I'd also consider Webster's Wine Bar. Tends to be relatively quiet in there on weekdays.
is making all his reservations under the name Steve Plotnicki from now on.

Ended up at Juicy Wine Co, as planned , and they had a very limited bar, but it worked for a few vodka drinks for my friend. It was very pleasant upstairs, and some of the meats and cheeses they were bringing out looked fantastic, although, I didn't get to taste any as we were there strictly for wine and conversation, hopefully, next time, I can have a few samples of the food.

Juicy does cocktails, but yes it is limited. Try going on a Monday when they have $5 mojitos and cuban sammiches on the panini press - yum!

Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.
