Tomato Fest 2008 - A benefit for Slow Food and Terra Madre

Next Thursday night a bunch of Slow Food members and foodies are gathering at the Chicago Honey Coop for a potluck Tomato fest.

We cooked up the idea for this event while enjoying the Slow Food Potluck at the Coop earlier this summer. Looking at everything that was growing in the community garden, as well as thinking about my own over-zealous seed order, hosting a Tomato Fest seemed liked a no-brainer.

In the name of transparency, I am a Slow Food member and I will be donating wine to the event. The event is posted on my company's website as I was able to build the page at no cost to Slow Food Chicago. Many of the tomatoes will come from my personal garden. Neither Candid Wines nor I will benefit monetarily from the event and all proceeds go to Slow Food Chicago.
