Anyone going to this? I was thinking of going for lunch on Sunday.

I'll be the asian chick! :-)

Grace, I'm torn...we're doing Maxwell St that morning, and I don't know if I can talk the family into 2 foodie events in one day...but maybe...are you going to be there in a professional capacity?

No, it's a rare day off for me, so what better way to enjoy it than chowing down on fermented cabbage?

The Maxwell St. tour sounds awesome but it's doubtful I'll be up and moving early enough to make it.

    MHays,

This is a pretty interesting street festival that attracts a smaller crowd who are mostly Asian. From my one visit a few years ago, at that time the food names were almost meaningless. The names were transliterations from Korean, if you are not familiar with those names can leave you in the dark. The only way to get the food you want is to point at what someone just received. This may have changed, but just as likely it may be the same.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

:D I'm sure Sparky would love it; we'll play it by ear, as, again, we're headed to Maxwell St, and I'm not sure how many festivals we can cram into one day without complete meltdown. In case you're there, we'll be the decidedly non-Asian family  !

I had a hoot last year--we might be heading out again tomorrow, but are unsure of the time. But here's a link from last year complete with some pictures (and one of my dad!)
