We just got back from Chuckfest. Aside from the band being way too loud, it was very nice. Police were on hand to direct traffic and assist in parking. There was a line that moves rather quickly for food and beer tickets. Once you have your tickets, you get in another line and order. There was quite a lot to choose from. I ended up getting a pork tamale drenched in chili and a fish taco to start. The fish taco was so good, I got another one and a filet kabob, which had some mole sauce on the side. Desserts were very good -- bananas foster, strawberry shortcake and peach cobbler. They did run out of jambalaya and told people there would be more shortly, but everything seemed to move smoothly. Tickets, at a dollar apiece, are non-refundable, so know what you want to get before buying them. A friend of ours grabbed $60 worth for the three of us and we used them all up, but I really could have stopped eating after the first two items I purchased.
Lots of families were in attendance and there were some games for the kiddies. A fun time was had by all.
