:D Hello to everyone, it is Dimples. I just wanted to give a heads up that America's Market is about to have their first root beer float night. It will take place on August 14, 2008, which is a Thursday night, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. I am having Graeter's Ice Cream flown in from Ohio. Remember, the store carries more then 32 different kinds of root beers. We will not be able to use all of them, but I plan on using some good ones and showing what the store is all about. I hope you have a chance to stop by. It will be a very fun night. Cheers to all! Dimples :D

    Dimples:

Not quite on topic, but, I tried to find your store the other day and I was not successful.

Are you in the shopping center on the north side of Dundee at Huntington?

    Help!!

Oh boy. I'll try my best to come to this! What will the cost be, give or take?

For all interested parties, I can tell you that the serving of Graeter's ice cream alone, whether you like root beer or not, is worth making the trip.

Graeter's is probably Cincinnati's best ice cream and it is a real coup for America's Market to have this in stock. Hopefully, they will have Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip on hand, perhaps Graeter's best flavor. Intense raspberry flavor in some of the richest, creamiest ice cream you will ever taste. The chocolate chips are made by drizzling warm chocolate into the ice cream as it churns and freezes resulting in soft, large "chips" (some the size of a silver dollar and twice as thick) that yield deep chocolate flavor instantly.

Sadly, I will be out of town the night of the big bash. Happily, I will be in Cincinnati this week where I will get my own Graeter's ice cream at the source. Hope everyone who attends has an enjoyable evening.

:D Hi to everyone! I are looking forward to this night. If you are able to come, I would love to meet you. For those of you that do not know where we are, depending on where you are coming from, the store is off of Dundee Road and Huntington Lane. If you take 53 going North, get off at Dundee Road, going East. Take Dundee Road to Huntington Lane, and turn left. You will see the restaurant I am Siam, we are 2 stores down from there. Any other questions, please ask. Dimples :D

    Bump.

I'll be there. Root beer floats are one of my greatest weaknesses!

That was one tasty float! And the Graeter's ice cream was a treat indeed. Now that I've got 8 more beers to try, I think I might polish off the rest of the Breyer's with another float tonight. This was a really fun event, thanks Dimples & crew!

I got there pretty early so I missed any other LTHers but the owners were very nice. I picked up a bottle of Dat'l Do It Datil pepper sauce from St. Augustine FL. It's one of my favorite condiments for grilled and roasted chicken.

Root beer float was nice, Graeters is a good choice for this as it's so creamy.

We stopped by around 8:30 last night. It is a very cute little store. I would've like to browse their merchandise a little more, but there were quite a few people. I bought a couple of root beers and an orange pop based on the recommendations of the owner. They are very nice people. He even opened up a bottle of spicy ginger ale for us to taste, but we really did not like it. We felt bad. It tingled my tongue and tasted pretty good initially, but as it hit my stomach and rushed up my sinuses, not so much. I will be back to check it out some more when I return one of my empty bottles.

Do you remember what brand of ginger beer it was? Sounds like something I'd like :P

Unfortunately I do not recall. It was right next to the glass bottled Vernor's with a red cap (red for spicy and gold for mild). I'm sure if you call or PM them, they will tell you. It is probably better cold than warm. He said one of his customers enjoys it with rum.

That was the Blenheim. I almost bought a bottle but I prefer Vernors anyway.

I tried the Blenheim (along with several other ginger beers) on a previous occasion and found it to be quite tasty. It is a real treat for anyone who appreciates the stronger, spicier qualities of a ginger beer versus a ginger ale.

This sounds fantastic! I bet Pie Dude would love it. I'll have to pick up a few to mix with my giant bottle of rum. Winter's a-comin'.

They actually have several very good varieties of ginger beer. Ask for recommendations, the good folks at America's Market will be happy to help out.
