Grand Haven MI

Not to much feedback on Grand Haven, MI. We will be there the weekend of Sept 12th. I want to know about Fricano's versus Clover Bar pizza and any good grub. I have eaten at Tip a Few. Do not want to travel too far out of Grand Haven as I will be with a salmon fisherman who will be on the water most of the time (is that not what my 15th wedding anniversary is all about? sigh, I know who I married and have eaten alot of good, fresh salmon, for better or worse). I would appreciate any input.

For Pizza, Fricano's is far superior to Clover Bar. The only advantage Clover has is that they have a much greater variety of food choices other than pizza. Clover's pizza isn't bad, but it's more of the very ordinary variety, whereas Fricano's is a very unique ultra thin crust pizza that many consider one of the best ever. Thank you for the response. I have seen a strong fight on the two, but the charred crust at Fricano's looked so good. I am bringing a friend who is fighting cancer, an off chemo week, and we want to CHOW!

In case you need anymore reassurance I would agree that Fricano's serves the superior pie. Garlicky goodness. I often eat at their location in Grand Rapids when I make it back to visit the fam. Truly unique pie and the owner (Doug) is a great guy. I think you can grab a jar of their homemade sauce for about $6 or $7 also. Enjoy your time in West Michigan.
