Anything in Stratford, Ontario?

We're going a little later this summer. One of our friends who we're going with has been there lots and knows the ropes, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask if anyone here has any place to recommend.

It has been about 20 years since I attended the Stratford Shakespeare Festival (and was a poor student at that time), so I have no specific recommendations.

However, I do remember that there were any number of fine restaurants near the three venues.

Been years since I've been there too, but as jlawrence01 says, there are tons of restaurants there, the "best" apparently being The Church.

If I was heading there, I would make a point to search out the Mennonite treats. I unfortunately do not have any suggestions though.

The large community of Mennonites are in nearby Waterloo, ON and New Hamburg, ON which are east of Stratford, ON on Rt7.

Just wanted give thanks for the suggestions, and add that the best meal we had was at a place called The Old Prune. Nouvelle, but execution was as high as the ambition. Very delicious, intense, fresh flavors redolent of the foods they were supposed to be.

We also dined in the upstairs of The Church (called The Belfry) and enjoyed it.
