Hey! I'm taking a friend out to dinner tonight as a thank you for doing me some huge favors, and I'm stumped on restaurants!
Trying to stick to the North Side....Lakeview-Lincoln Square. Mid-level price range...

    Thoughts? Suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Bistro Campagne

Always excellent, mid-priced, wonderfully prepared dishes. Try the chicken.

Reasonably priced wine list. Great patio if the weather is nice.

    Always attentive, informative service.

I agree with DMChicago. Bistro Campagne is a winner, my favorite bistro in the city. The pork chop is one of the best I've ever had. And, I agree about the patio - - it's a lovely garden oasis.

Another restaurant in that price range, but just south in Lincoln Park, is Riccardo Trattoria:

Great Italian, in my opinion. The menu is more interesting than your typical Chicago Italian spot. I think that would also be a nice place to say thanks.

I think you should skip girls night and take your boyfriend to BistroC instead! :)
