As a former Minnesotan, I get nostalgic every year during the fair. I love hearing about the food on a stick, and the new advances in the "fryalated arts".

This year, the new fair item is Big Fat Bacon: 1/3 lb of bacon, carmelized and fried...and served on a stick. I'm homesick.

I was reading about a new fair food called a pig licker. Crispy bacon coated in chocolate. :D

ok, bacon on a stick with maple syrup, very good. bacon with chocolate, not so much.

had bacon cheese fries, cheese curd, jalepeno cheese on a stick, milky way on a stick, pronto pup (corn dog), lemanade, two types of bacon on a stick, and a s'moor. excellent weekend at the fair.

There's a parallel thread about Pig Lickers active now.
