I was at the Whole Foods in Willowbrook last Saturday and found a healthier new cookie that is whole grain and still tastes great. It even passed the kid test! They are awesome! There was cranberry oatmeal, chocolate chip, and vanilla that the bakery sold in a 6-pack. The owner of Chrysalis Cookies was demoing the cookies. She said she was in the Wheaton Whole Foods also and to check out her website. I saw that she sells frozen dough there. They are whole grain and partly organic, too.

These cookies smell fishy. (Or, is it this post?)

Yep, as suspected. mykidsmom lists email as lkhardin@prodigy.net. Chrysalis Cookies owned by, you guessed it, Linda Hardin.

Says Ms. Hardin, “I was warned this was a real tough business, and it is, but I’m hoping to sneak in through the back door with the Internet.”

    Sneak in indeed. Tsk, tsk.

I shall never eat your cookies no matter how good they are.

It seems to me that these guerilla marketing classes would teach people not to sound so cheesy as to immediately raise suspicions regarding your true intentions

    Seconded, and I LOVE cookies!

To mykidsmom, here's an ethical way of getting your message across:

" Hi My name's Kathy, I make these (insert brand name here) cookies. I use all natural ingredients,(insert more reasons why you think a discerning buyer would like them) and I'd love to get your opinion on them, they are available at (insert name of retail place here). You can add some drivel about being a small start up family owned yadda yadda, people eat that up.
I used to think the brain was the most important part of the body. Then I realized who was telling me that.

Yep. Smelled this one from the thread title alone. Nice way to make a first impression.

To all in the LTH Forum,

I sincerely apologize for my attempt to advertise my product in this forum. This is my first attempt at posting to this kind of forum, and needless to say, I have found out in no uncertain terms that I was wrong.

I do appreciate the advice and the learning experience.

There's no problem talking about your product here. Just be upfront about who you are and you'll find the community responsive. Unless, of course, your cookies suck.

A couple of years ago, Target was selling a Ghiradelli cookie mix at Christmas time that was oatmeal, cranberry, and chocolate chip. My friend made them, and they were fabulous. Sadly, they haven't sold that mix for the past couple of years. I'll have to check these cookies out and see how they compare.
