I was only over there to do the State emissions test but would consider a trip back to try other things.

I started up another thread on Pickerman's, to separate it from the thread in which it was initially referenced.

My wife and I tried Pickerman's this evening after I saw this posting. We really liked it a lot. We shared two sandwiches, the Italian and the Roast Beef. We had them both done as a panini, which is an added-cost option. The sandwiches had great flavor and they were very crunchy.

We also each had soup. I'm a lobster bisque fanatic, and Pickerman's was excellent, wich some chunks of seafood. My wife had the vegetable barley, which was thick and full of flavor.

I think I've found a new sandwich place!

This sounds promising. I assume it's all take out only?

No, they have quite a bit of seating in the place. They can probably seat 30-40 people.

I used to live a few blocks from this place, and tried it a couple of times. I was never really impressed. To me it was along the lines of a Panera.

The soups were better than the sandwiches, but this isnt a place I would go out of my to go to, or have craved a return visit to since my last visit a couple of years ago. For reference I still make the 60+ mile trip regularly to get an Augustino's sub in Carol Stream when I want an Italian Sub.

I laughd when I saw about the panini, the woman owner was pushing panini on everyone telling them they just got this machine. I had mine done as a panini too! I would not call this a sub shop, they have quite an array of things including pastas and lasagna and when it comes to making your sandwich, they are very accommodating in making it anyway you want. The lobster bisque was excellant and very rich!
