Is there a store in the area that sells a good variety of metal cookie cutters? I know that Sur La Table, and even sometimes Cost Plus World Market has them. Where else? Otherwise, I might just order from cookiecutter.com. Thanks

You can often find them at craft stores - like Joann's or Michaels. I have a bunch from there, as well as some online cookie cutters for variety.

Long Grove has a few stores that sell cookie cutters. Their website has a list of all the stores in the business district.

My sister will be in town this weekend for the Renegade Craft Fair, and while she is here she is interested in finding a store with a large variety of cookie cutters.
We will be downtown, in Wicker Park, and in Andersonville, but will travel anywhere north of the loop if we need to.

Does anyone know of such a place?

(She is specifically interested in finding a Block 'S' and a football shape)

Sur la Table has a wide variety of cookie cutters, including all of the alphabet and I'm pretty sure a football. (Michigan State fan?)

Small hijack - I recently found this kit on Amazon.com; I'm kind of stupidly excited about it! I like the idea of being able to do whatever shape comes into my head (for years, I've been hand-cutting (shaky) gingerbread firefighters and policemen to take to the stations at Christmastime)

    Fabulous, thanks! And, Go State!

Mhays, I think I know what I'll be getting my sister for Christmas now. Thank you!

Years ago, there used to be a store in Long Grove that sold a shitload of cookie cutters of all different shapes, including some really unusual ones. Are there any places in Chicago with a wide selection?

    Thanks,
