Only mention on this board about this place. Thats gotta change. Folks Im tired and busy this month so its time to share in the joy of pics. I think they say it all. I love this place. Where else in the city can you get fried monk fish? It was amazing with the butter. Gumbo was good but not spicy enough and the wings and buffalo scrimp looked like must try's. Too bad I just been to TAB and all those places mention in NW Indiana thread.

It reminded me of goose Island, no tables (seats though) and a few arcade games and fried seafood.

Quite a selection at this place though.

both the wings and buffalo scrimp looked like they needed to be tried, I wish I had room...next time.

Fried monkfish dinner. What you cant see underneath all those fries is the large cup of drawn butter...sooo good with the fish.

I really loved the dedication they put in here, ill be back. Has anybody seen that place near here and the lake where the harbor is called taqueria Jalisco, its right on the water...I wanted to stop in and see if they had fish tacos but it was too late and we were looking for this place which we spotted on the ride up.

Swordfish is not a bottom-dwelling species.

Actually, I don't eat swordfish when on the mainland b/c of this:

"In the North Atlantic, the swordfish stock is nearly rebuilt, but biomass remains slightly below that at which Maximum sustainable yield is produced, and abundance is increasing. This stock is considered a moderate conservation concern until the stock is fully rebuilt. There are no robust stock assessments for swordfish in the northwestern Pacific or South Atlantic, and there is a paucity of data concerning stock status in these regions. These stocks are considered unknown and a moderate conservation concern. The southwestern Pacific stock is a moderate concern due to model uncertainty, increasing catches, and declining CPUEs (catch per unit effort). Overfishing is likely occurring in the Indian Ocean, and fishing mortality exceeds the maximum recommended level in the Mediterranean, thus these stocks are considered of high conservation concern"

    and

"However, many sources including the United States Food and Drug Administration warn about potential toxicity from high levels of methylmercury in swordfish. The FDA recommends that women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should eat no more than one seven-ounce serving a month; others should eat no more than one serving a week."

I'll have it at maximum once a year as sashimi in Hawaii. However, I am a greatly obsessed with seafood and aquatic life in general. My second career would have been anything to do with Jean-Michel Cousteau. 8)

Apologies to the OP for going OT.
