Does anyone know of a good Middle Eastern, African, Latin, or other ethnic restaurant in Lakeview (preferably South/East Lakeview anywhere from Ashland-Broadway and Diversey-Addison? It needs to have the capacity to seat a group of 25. I know this is a really tall order. I'm supposed to find this restaurant for a board meeting for my job. Mexican is a no-go because that's where the previous night's dinner will have been. And Western European (French, Italian, etc) restaurants don't count. We can't do sushi because the California-based board members say they get great sushi all the time at home. Some unrealistic parameters have been set, needless to say. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have!

I was there this past Friday evening. The food and service were wonderful.

For Middle Eastern, you might try Zad, Cousin's, or Casbah, all of which are on Broadway between Belmont and Diversey. My favorite of those is Cousin's. There's also Andalous over on Clark, which is Morrocan.

My recommendation, for what it's worth, would be Miss Asia on Diversey. It's owned by the same people who own the esteemed Sticky Rice. While the Thai menu isn't as extensive as that at Sticky Rice, the diverse offerings from other Asian countries might make for a good large-group outing.
