Me and some friends are going to Baton Lounge on Friday night and want to grab dinner before hand. Is there anything close to there that is recommended?

Baton Lounge is located at 436 N. Clark.

I don't know what you are your group are looking for specifically...are you celebrating? Based on location and poximity alone I recommend Naha (http://www.naha-chicago.com/), Frontera, and Topolo (http://www.fronterakitchens.com/restaurants/restaurants.html all very close, and very good.

Okay just an update, I couldn't reserve either of the above for ten people, does anyone else have any suggestions? Even if it's bar food, that would be great.

the possibilities right there are endless....there's more decent semi-upscale restaurants there than just about anywhere else in the city.

Brasserie Jo ... Tizi Melloul ... cyranos... crofton... Cafe Iberico, Rockit, Vermillion, Madame Tartine, a gazillion steakhouses (keefers, sulivan's, G&G, david burke, RC, etc etc), all the Brazilian steakhouses, etc are all no more than a 5 minute walk.

Sushi Samba is close and fun - especially for a birthday in combo with the Baton - to me this would be in keeping with a "theme"

Bin 36 is also quite close - You could sit in the cafe part - they usually keep room for big parties -- which is an important consideration now that it is Thursday...
