    3rd Annual Andersonville Dessert Crawl on Sunday, October 12!
    Two routes - choose between our Swedish Stroll or Rainbow Route - or don't choose and enjoy both! Wash it all down with a wine tasting from In Fine Spirits!


    Here's the scoop...
    The Andersonville Development Corporation, in conjunction with Foursided and In Fine Spirits, will host the 3rd annual Dessert Crawl on Sunday, October 12 from 1:00-6:00 p.m.

    TICKETS: www.andersonvilledevcorp.org
    WHEN: Sunday, October 12, 2008
    Dessert Crawls: Swedish Stroll - 1 to 4 p.m. & Rainbow Route -3 to 6 p.m.
    Wine Tastings: 3:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.

    WHERE: Headquarters location for the Dessert Crawl is the Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark Street, with host restaurants located throughout the neighborhood; wine tastings to occur at In Fine Spirits wine bar located at 5420 N. Clark Street

    WHO: Event benefits the Andersonville Development Corporation, a non-profit whose mission is to foster sustainable community and economic development in the Andersonville commercial district.

    HOW: Tickets are $25 for 1 route, $40 for both and $20 for each wine tasting ticket. Space is limited. Order tickets at www.andersonvilledevcorp.org and find out which of your favorite Andersonville restaurants are participating! For more information, call 773-728-7552.

    Tickets for each individual Dessert Crawl route are $25 each. Buy a package of both for $40. Add on the wine tasting to any ticket purchase for an additional $20.

    Swedish Stroll (1:00-4:00)- $25

    Boy, I wish I had time. Whoever goes I hope will post a lengthy review with pictures so I can have a belated crawl one day soon.

    I didn't go to the dessert crawl either. I entered a chili contest held on the same day, but ended up spending the day in bed with a killer headache. My husband entered my chili for me (didn't win anything.) I friend of mine from high school went to the crawl. Added bonus, it was her birthday. She grew up in Andersonville, so this was an extra special treat. Here's what she had to say:

    Dessert Crawl results The winner is : The red velvet cupcakes at Big Jones! Honorable mention: M Henry's delectable chocolate covered cheesecake bites. The sentimental favorite: Svea's Rice pudding with lingonberries ( my Mom's recipe).
