Got an email over the weekend that Sweets & Savories is having a white truffle dinner on Thursday, October 16. It will be 7 courses of $65(!). According to the email, the dinner will include white truffle ice cream, which is worth the price of admission in and of itself (IMO).

I'll be attending along with the wife. Hope to see some other LTH'ers there as well!

This is one of the best dinners in town. I know most restaurants are cutting these dinners out but I'm so glad that Chef Richards did not. I dream about this meal all year long. I'll see you there with two of my friends. :P

Does the email includes any more info on the menu? I am highly intrigued but there is no mention of this event on the S+S website.

Sorry, no other details in the email. You may want to call for more details if you need them.

Quick and astute readers may have noticed a post this morning that questioned whether at this great price, these could possibly be Italian white truffles, which sell for something in the thousands of dollars per pound. I suspected that they were more likely domestic white truffles from Oregon, which are good but nowhere near the same thing. I since deleted that post, as my inquiry to the restaurant informed me that these are indeed the real deal. The event is completely booked, but I got my name on the wait list in case there are cancellations. I hereby offer a beer at the Paramount Room to anyone who gives me their spot :)

Just got a copy of the menu for tonight's White Truffle dinner and as I preached it is a dinner not to forget. After seeing the item by KennyZ, I inquired if there were seats left and Chef David Richards said there were a couple cancelations. Here's the menu for one of the best dinners in town. YUMMY!
