On Monday, October 20, The Marion Street Cheese Market will have Amanda Hodge from Great Lakes Brewing Co. into the cafe to talk about a few things. One will be how Great Lakes has become one of the country's most environmentally and socially conscious breweries. We'll also talk briefly about some of the things we're trying to do at MSCM to lower our impact on the environment. Then on to the really fun stuff ... beer! Here are the details:
What: An evening of beer sampling alongside classic Swiss fondue, featuring the environmentally and socially conscious Great Lakes Brewing Company
Where: Marion Street Cheese Market Cafe
100 S. Marion Street, Oak Park, IL
When: Monday, October 20 at 7:00pm (with more drinks and revelry to continue at the beer bar following the class).
Cost: $25 ... tickets can be purchased at the shop day of or any time prior to the event. Limited to the first 50 people.
What You Get: Five rounds of beer sampling (Nosferatu, Edumund Fitzgerald and others) alongside classic Swiss fondue at your table. This is our first night of fondue dinners so expect a great time sitting at a communal table while talking about good beer and eating melted cheese.
Still some tickets available if anyone is interested. This is our second beer event and I believe the first one could potentially be considered a success. Any and all questions relating to beer at the Marion Street Cheese Market can be directed toward me.
