Spring World - Friday (10-17)late notice lunch

As I just got back from a summer spend in western, NC where Asain appears to be a curse word, I am literally hurting for some decent Chinese food.

Given Spring World has been nominated for a GNR (even though comment is closed) I thought I would see if anyone wants to get away for the best Kung-Pao Chicken in Illinois at lunch on Friday. I was thinking 12pm but I am flexible if people need to make it later.

As no one has replied and I am waiting on a delivery man, I am going to push the time back to about 1pm if anyone changes their mind. If you were planning on going and can't make the later time, let me know and I'll get over at the original time.

Sorry I was late if anyone showed up on time. I had to wait for a delivery and missed my intended time. I did get over to SW though and it was every bit as good as I remember. The Kung Pao chix has gotten deeper in flavor with the ginger really reaching through the sauce rather than just being thrown in. The Sichuan Dofu was better than I remembered it. There was much more dofu and the texture was firmer. The chili paste was of a higher quality in the past and had a great chunky rich taste. Cheng-du dumplings are always great. Total cost for the above dishes, a bunch of rice, and soup = $8.80.... Micy Dee's eaty our dry and overcooked heart out!
