    Nance Klehm will lead her last urban foraging walk of the season, details are below.

    URBANFORAGE
    nov 2, 2-4pm
    gompers park - meet at pulaski and foster

    ~all URBANFORAGE walks are by donation (cash is always fine or could be exchange of something inherently useful)

    come dressed for the weather - unless pouring, we are on!

    hickory nuts, black walnuts, cornelian cherries as well as a lot of roots....let's see what we find in early november!

    no, not in Gompers Park, it's a wetland. and it's fall, I am not sure if that's the time for mushrooms anyhow. If you want to talk foraging and/or cultivating mushrooms then look into the Fungi club that meets monthly at North Park Village Nature Center. Just spitting distance (sort of) from Gompers at Pulaski and Peterson.

    As a happy member of the Illinois Mycological Association (the fungi club), I invite anyone interested in foraging for wild mushrooms to join us at any of our meetings. As mentionned, we meet at the North Park Village Nature Center at 5801 N. Pulaski on the first Monday of most months. Our next meeting will be on November 2nd - the same day as the the Gompers Park event. If you are interested in more information, please feel free to PM me. There are at least two more LTHers who are also members of the IMA, so you won't be alone.

    HI,

    The Gomper's Park event is Sunday November 2nd. Mushroom Club is Monday November 3rd at North Park Nature Center at Pulaski & Peterson.
