Looking to get reservation at L20 and want to get a ballpark of what it will cost all in- food, wine, tip, etc.
There will be 3 people- one big eater, one average and one who would probably be fine with a couple A La Carte options. First question I guess would be can 3 people at a table get different options; one 12-course, one 4-course and one A La Carte?
If not than i'm assuming 4-course will not be enough food for at least 2 of us. So assuming maybe two 12-course and one 4-course and a few A La Carte how much would you ballpark this meal. Plus wine; either maybe 2 average priced bottles from their list or would corkage fee be a better cost-effective route and what is the fee? Thanks

Prices for food are shown on the pdf version of their menu on their website (click here), with the four-course running $110 and the twelve-course $165, before sales tax and tip.

I also would not necessarily assume that the four-course would not be enough food. Remember, restaurants typically serve much larger portion sizes for four-course menus than for twelve-course menus.

I would recommend the 4-course over the 12-course at L2O. The first time we went we did the 12 course and it was just too much food. Now, that was when they first opened so maybe things have been scaled down a bit. We went a second time and basically constructed our own 4 course menu sitting in the lounge area and it was much more manageable.

In terms on price, the first time we went, I think it was something like $300-$350/person all in and the second time was around $200-$250/person. Don't hold me to that though. I have no idea what their corkage policy is (best to just call and ask).

I ate at L20 two Sundays ago. There were four of us. Each of us ordered the four-course option. We did not ask if we all had to order the same number of courses, nor did our server say one way or the other. In addition to the four courses, we ordered the beef entree a-la-carte for the table. Two of us asked the sommelier to pair wines by the glass with each course; two others ordered two wines by the glass each. Our total, including gratuity, was about $250/person.

The four courses, plus a couple of bites of the beef, provided plenty of food. It was all very good, by the way, every course and every wine pairing. The service was terrific, too. My favorite thing was the skate.
