As announced on a board outside, all-you-can-eat tacos al pastor for $8 are a current special at Los Posados, a pretty good taqueria in Prospect Heights.
If you just thought, "Where's Prospect Heights?" this probably isn't a bargain for you. Los Posados is your basic, bare-bones, counter-service taco joint. I won't say the tacos are worth traveling a long distance for, but they certainly hit the spot. Small, doubled corn tortillas; generous topping of well-spiced, ruddy meat; sprinkling of cilantro and onion.
When we were there tonight, they were reheating pre-cooked meat on a grill, so I don't know whether it originally came from a rotisserie or not, but even given that treatment, the pork was extremely flavorful, with good texture, crispy bits here and there, and a perfect blend of fat and lean.
We ate a bakers' dozen between the two of us, and they'd have happily brought more. "We keep going till you're stuffed."
They also have a special of three large burritos for $9.95, and ground-beef tacos are $1 each after 3 p.m. (I haven't tried either.) On a previous visit, I was underwhelmed by the steak tacos, but everything else has been good. The table salsas, red and green, are exceptional, and I'm fond of the watermelon and cantaloupe agua frescas, too.

FWIW, Prabhu, a small Indian grocery in the same strip mall, is worth a look-see, too.
