Sugar Decor and Such, or, Home Economist Rocks

Post #1 - November 6th, 2008, 12:01 pmI'm making some cookies and cupcakes tonight and tomorrow for a bake sale, and I've been looking for fall-ish decors and coarse sugar to no avail. The Spice House doesn't carry that kind of thing, Michael's only has colored sugars and your typical sprinkles, ie, chocolate, multi-primary colored, or those giant poker chip-looking things. Jewel carries the same stuff. Any ideas where to get this stuff in my area? Post #4 - November 6th, 2008, 1:30 pmNow I can say that I've been to the Home Economist, and not only are they awesome, but they had what I was looking for and then some. There were dozens of types and colors of fine sugars, coarse sugars, and sprinkles, including holiday-themed ones. Also, dyes, nut blends and flours, baking cups...I could go on and on. I know where I'm doing future baking, party, and gift shopping. Boo hiss, Michaels, see you when I want some poker chips.
