This sounds interesting, especially since it is not too far from my home. Unfortunately, I'm heading up to Michigan for the weekend. If anyone goes, please report back!

    Hi,

I just pulled the trigger to go this evening. I was able to acquire my ticket on-line for $25, instead of $35 at the door.

    Regards,

    Hi,

There were lots of people around me enjoying themselves immensely. They provide a number of tickets for wine sampling, though I gave mine away. You get to meet Sweet Baby Ray in the flesh. Lots of caterers, wine merchants, speciality appetizer sauces, bread, some wild game and relatively little cheese. They do have two stages for cooking demos and there is an old fashioned Ron Popeil-ish kitchen demo in the middle.

I think for a number of people here, there is very little that would interest them. Plus you are paying for the privilege of being pitched to. If you do go, please buy your ticket online to save $10.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

i did find it a bit weird that there was an admission price for what was essentially an indoor version of the markets I sell at all summer
not as big as Fancy Foods show by any means but I did find some worthwhile food products to purchase/sample.
The one that stood out for me was Darn Hot Peppers..they own a huge pepper farm downstate and grow all their own peppersfor use in thier products..a huge variety as well..they then make and bottle there own salsas and dry rubs/seasonings from them.
The owner was very friendly and informative and you could tell was very passionate about hot peppers and his product in general.

Also got a really good pulled pork sandwich and cup of gumbo from Sweet Babys Rays booth
