Zippy's is gone in Deerfield and a new place called Teddyfabz is there now.
    I haven't been there.

I assume it's a fast food joint like Zippy's was. I hope it's something great and that it can actually succeed on that cursed stretch of Lake Cook Rd for restaurants. If I drive by, I'll check it out.

Stopped in a week ago. Line was long. Lots of people eating. I didn't order. Looked standard fast food fare.

I just drove by there today but I didn't even notice Zippys was gone! (Then again, when you "drive by"....you're really going under a bridge and can't see it which is probably why it's hard to keep a business open there!) Good luck to Teddyfabz!

went here last week with a friend for lunch just before the rush...pretty much same menu as zippy's, although they got rid of their waffle fries. they also say they use merkt's cheese for the fries, but it tastes like regular nacho cheese to me. when you order they give you a number and they bring the food to your table now and you can watch espn on their flat screen tvs that they added.

Went there the other day to give the place a try. Was able to get thre before the lunch rush.

Got their Jumbo Hot Dog, Cheese Fries, and a Sweet Tea.

Jumbo Hot Dog: For a Jumbo Vienna Beef it certainly didnt look like it. Might order a regular and a jumbo and compare.

Fries: Actually well done. Cheese came in a 2oz container and was pretty decent for cheese.

Sweet Tea: Not bad but could of been sweeter.

All in all, Not too bad but with a price tag of over 7.50 dollars for all of that, it will a while before I go back.

A while back I remember getting a halfway decent hot dog from the cart inside the Home Depot.

My husband will never miss a stop at that hot dog cart any time he does to the Deerfield Home Depot.

I work very close to a Home Depot so I pick up lunch there several times a month. IMHO their hot dogs are better than the local sit-down place that opened up here about 6 months ago (Old Chicago Red Hots in Gurnee).
