I was asked to host another cookie exchange so I thought that the same rules would apply as last time and I could possibly throw it on December 7 which is a Sunday at 1PM.
Would there be any interested parties in this event?

    Hi,

I will be happy to attend. It will be crazy to get all those cookies done by then, but the variety I take home will be well worth the effort.

    Regards,

See this thread from last year's cookie exchange. Basically, prepare 1 dozen cookies x # of participants plus 1 dozen to share & enjoy during the event, and bring copies of your recipe.

Well, it sounds like fun, and as of now, the date is open for me-
My only concern is that if we ge to a large # of people, maybe we'd make it fewer than 12 per person... to keep from baking a bazillion dozen cookies

I'm interested, but just not sure I can pull it all off between Thanksgiving stuff, LTH party etc.

If you end up with a later date, I'm definitely in - last year was a lot of fun.

I think that the maximum amount of people is at about 10 to 12.
    Otherwise it gets too crazy.

I couldn't make it last year - but I'd love to join you all this year!
    Are there still open spaces?

I'll make my mother's Heleneschnitten - an traditional (but not commonly known) German almond cookie.

Cathy could you keep tab of how many people are showing.
Those that can't make it just PM me otherwise this thread is getting very convoluted.
Those that are coming welcome, this will be fun. Diet a couple days before
as you will be on cookie overload come the event.
I will make mulled cider and mulled wine as is my tradition.
Last years cookies lasted me for 5 weeks and I still generously shared with others.

I would love to come, as it was great last year, but I am heavily pregnant (35 weeks) :D
Have a great time, those of you who are doing it again, and those of you who are diving in, be prepared for some great treats! I just looked through my recipes that I collected from last year, and am anticipating making some of them soon.

After a frenzy of baking this weekend,
I now have a bazillion Chocolate Sparkle Shortbread cookies tucked into my freezer....
In what form are we supposed to bring them-
    separate ziplocs?
    a large foil tray?
    8 1/2 x 11 copies of the recipe?
Just trying to go with the flow...
    Thanks

There is still room for five more participants. To avoid replication, advise what cookie you will be bringing.

Well, now I don't feel so bad about missing it, because that was what I was going to make! They were by far our favorite cookies last year: I did an almond cookie base with a strained homemade cranberry jelly.

    MHays,

I would have gladly made something else, if you could have made it. It is one of the Christmas cookie repetoire that is a must every year.

Last night for an event Friday night, I made white- and semi-sweet chocolate and fresh cranberry oatmeal cookies. My family liked them more than I did. If I liked them more, then I would have suggested those.
