I am currently eating a TGI Fridays half sandwich, pesto, avocado, chicken, lettuce & tomato,my daughter's leftover lunch, and tastes WONDERFUL! Is it because I worked 13 hours? Do you have food you would normally not eat taste great at the end of a long work day?

    Yes.
    Anything from the vending machine.

those hours sounds like my typical week day.

This sounds like the exact opposite of my behavior. Nothing angers me more after a long, difficult workday than food that I don't like.

If I worked really hard all day, the person who tries to serve me TGI Fridays for dinner is risking serious bodily harm.

Usually it's a scotch with a couple of rocks and a cigar, followed by deep sleep until I have to do it again the next day. By the way- who on earth said to me that being a student again was going to be fun? Up at 6 am sleep again at midnight.
is making all his reservations under the name Steve Plotnicki from now on.

I can count on at least two long days every week. For me, it's a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I don't usually eat them otherwise, but they're the perfect, simple, easy thing to eat when one is just getting to dinner at 9 or 10pm--always on wheat berry bread from Fox & Obel, smooth PB and raspberry jam.

I'll have to concur on the pb&j. When I stumble in from the airport at 11 and everyone is asleep and I'm hungry that usually keeps the wolf at bay.
