Hi, does anyone know where "little vietnam" is? Or otherwise called "Vietnam Town"? I know where the one is IN chicago but I cannot remember the location of the other one in Illinois that is NOT in chicago--is it near Rockford?

Little Vietnam covers Lawrence (or Argyle if you are getting specific) several blocks North as well as East (typically to Sheridan).

    Good luck.

If you Google Map vietnamese restaurants, you will find a few clustered around Wheaton, though not enough to suggest a "town."

I was discussing this with the owner of L'Anne one evening a while back and she had no idea why there is this concentration (which actually extends straight north from Wheaton up into Glendale Heights, too). As far as she knew, there is no Vietnamese community or church in the area to explain it. That still makes no sense to me, but I share it anyway.

I have not asked the same question in some of the other, less upscale and more authentic Viet places.

Never heard it called Little Vietnam or Vietnam Town.
