Does anyone know if there are any Thai, or Southeast Asian grocery stores in the NW Burbs? I love Thai cooking, but havn't been able to find anywhere in the NW burbs to do my shopping. I'd rather not have to trek into the city..

    Thanks!

There's an Asian grocery in the strip mall across the street from Woodman's / Menards in Carpentersville. I can't recall their name.

Just drove by there today, between stopping up at Woodmans and picking my daughter up after school.

Their web site is a bit screwed up, but it's http://alliemart.com/

i assume you've been to super h-mart in niles and mitsuwa in arlington heights? neither of them is specifically thai, but they both have a pretty good assortment of pan-asian ingredients.

Mitsuwa's always worth a trip, but not for Thai ingredients IMO. Super H is much better for those.

I would also stop by and look at Woodman's as they do carry some Thai items.
