No, at least the Meijer's in Rolling Meadows does not double. In fact, until recently when they expanded their self-checkout lanes, they wouldn't even take expired coupons.

I am noticing that more and more coupons say "do not double" anyway.

Kim3, are you still playing the Grocery Game? I'm just curious to see if you still think it is worth it.

    Hi Suzy,

    Yes we are.

I really think YMMV on the Grocery Game. I have two young kids, so the savings on the cereals, snacks, juices, and kiddie food (ie, chicken nuggets, pb & j) are good.

We tend to save anywhere from $6-20 a week.

However, it is heavily slanted towards processed foods. For example, I often see a ton of pasta sauces on their, but rarely does whole grain pasta pop up the report. Plain broth popped up this week and I was thrilled because typically the soup offerings are all Campbell processed soups.

Another reason we don't see the huge savings they advertise ("Save over $100 a week!") is because a lot of the savings come from pharmaceutical and beauty items. I work for a company that owns a chain of pharmacies, so I buy from them at a discount and never use the game list.

Over all, it's worth it for us due to the family make-up.

    Thanks,
    Kim

I looked it up and found out that YMMV means "Your Mileage May Vary," ICAEWW.
