    LTH,
I am looking for the cheapest source of pheasant in town. They have them whole at $7.99/ lb. at Rich's Polish grocery on Western.
At the GNR dinner I remember KennyZ and FIGJustin discussing a place on Ogden. Guys, can you refresh my memory? Any one else have a source, preferably just the breasts.
    Thanks!

not sure if these guys are too far out of the way for you(S. Side, where everything good is.. :) ), but I have bought product from them and they are very good.

    they show pheasant @ $6.25/lb. 2 - 4 lbs whole.

They also have alot of more exotic items(lion, bear, etc.)

I know Czimer's well! Its good to hear that they are still around. I grew up in Palos Park and my dad's friends took us on a field trip when I was probably 10 or 11. Its a very cool experience as a kid. My strongest memory is of these "toothpicks" in a jar on the counter made of dried raccoon male reproductive organ!

Less exotically, pheasant is currently on sale at all Chicagoland Treasure Island stores, at $6.99/lb. They are also carrying geese at the same price. Hmmmm.....both are frozen, so plan accordingly.

PS fresh ducks are available, as well, at a more modest $3.19/lb.

We sell both pheasant and goose at Woodman's although I am not certain of the prices.
