In Jeffrey Steingarten's The Man Who Ate Everything, he recalls a cookbook editor who disliked cilantro so much that she would bring a pair of tweezers with her to restaurants in order to pick cilantro out of dishes. Maybe that will work for you, too?

I am in the middle in regards cilantro. Ive never experienced a "soapy" taste though.

I think Cilantro is necessary & and important ingredient for many mexican, and asian recipes, but you wont find me eating a cilantro salad anytime soon.

interesting, I like the taste in the types of cusines I mentioned, it would be interesting to try it as you utilize it.
