Heritage Prairie Market & Farm Winter Festival 2009In November of 2008 Bob Burgin had his cattle rustled! Cattle Rustlin' has not happened in this county for over 50 years!!!! Sign of the times when your cattle are stolen! On January 31, 2009 Heritage Priarie Market and Farm will be doing a Winter Festival Fundraiser for Bob Burgin.
If you haven't been out to the farm yet, this will be a GREAT event.

ice-skating, cross country skiing, local beer & wines, foods from our kitchen, cooking demonstrations , art & crafts for kiddies, Heritage Prairie is proudly sponsoring this event to help raise funds for the Burgin Family Farm to replace cattle stolen in the fall of 2008. Celebrate winter with local foods and outdoor fun by taking part in our Winter Festival! Here are some activities you can enjoy during the day. We'll be sampling local products from our farm and from other nearby farms. Join in farm tours, or watch Chef Jeremy Lycan of Niche restaurant give a demonstration. Bring skates or skis and enjoy being outdoors. Then warm up with local grilled sausages, burgers, and chili along with homemade s'mores toasted on the bonfire. We'll be serving local beers, wines, and sodas. There will be crafts inside and pony rides outside for your children. Tickets for the Winter Festival are $25 per adult and $5 per child(under 3 for free).
