Anybody spot Obamagang yet?

Ommegang is releasing "Inauguration Ale 2009", aka Obamagang, and their press release says it'll be somewhere in Chicago.

"The TTB won't let us call the beer Obamagang on the keg label. So it will be known legally as Inauguration Ale 2009, but the tap handles will be more...um...direct. The style lies between a porter and stout, with a bit of Kriek and a touch of chocolate blended in. It will be on draft only, beginning with the inauguration - in limited areas including DC, NYC, Syracuse, Philly, Chicago and Boston. "

According to their website, Bavarian Lodge in Lisle will have it.

I just had one at the Paramount Room (by the way -- open at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow for inauguration day). It's pretty good, although I found it to be a little bit "flat" and lacking in complexity and depth -- there are better offerings on tap, but it's probably worth ordering for the novelty factor.

I brought a bottle of Ommegeddon Ale to the LTH holiday party. I thought it was pretty darn good. Incredibly hoppy with a barley wine style character. Probably worth finding this stuff.
