I will be in Virginia this weekend, primarily in Tyson's Corner and wanted a good spot I can take an old friend for lunch. Price is not really an option, but something French or just a good lunch spot that serves wine as well. Nothing too ethnic, meaning African, Japanese, Thai, my friend is a very plain eater.

    Thanks in advance

Some of the nicer restaurants in Tyson's Corner are only open for dinner on weekends (2941, Colvin Run, etc.).

Cafe Deluxe should work for you. Not great, but consistently good. Clyde's is another local spot. I like Deluxe just a tad better.

If that doesn't sound good, there's a Legal Seafoods outpost in the Galleria (the fancier) mall. I'm a huge fan of their ground tuna burger.

Too bad Vietnamese is a no-go. You're going to be super-close to what's arguably the best Vietnamese food in the U.S. not on the west coast.

I don't know if Inox is open yet, but it's going to be amazing. If they are open I'd call to see if they are doing brunch. I'd also ask this question on donrockwell.com you'll get more answers as it's a dc board.
is making all his reservations under the name Steve Plotnicki from now on.
