Casual Business Lunch in the Naperville Area

I've got to meet a business associate for lunch next Tuesday. He's coming from West Chicago and I'm coming from the real Chicago. We thought Naperville might be a good half way point to meet, but we're flexible as to the actual suburb we go to. I'm looking for a decent, not too fancy place to meet up. Does anyone have some suggestions? I want to avoid anything too exotic (probably not Katy's or LSC) because I don't think it will be appreciated by the person I am meeting.

Meson Sabika is in a beautiful setting and has heartier and perhaps more American-friendly tapas than some of the recent openings, and at last check is open for lunch.

David's on Jefferson Hill has been impressive for dinner and had plans to open for lunch, but I don't think they're there yet. The former Masala Yangu would have been nice for you, probably not so much for the guest.

My other nearby thoughts would be GNR Fabulous Noodles in Lisle (plenty of Americanized dishes, casual) or Suzette's Creperie in Wheaton.

On the more casual side, I end up at the Indo-Pak places along Roosevelt when I'm out that way (Desi Grill, Viceroy of India). Chicks 'N Salsa in Glen Ellyn gets some nice messages on the board (Mexican fast food, probably too chainy to enjoy a quiet lunch). My folks like Honey Cafe also in Glen Ellyn, an organic-focused "comfort cafe" receiving some buzz lately.

Final thought: Greek Islands in Lombard. I go back and forth, but currently like this location better than the one downtown.

I think you need to look at a map. Naperville is not close to the halfway point between Chicago and West Chicago. In fact, it will take you just about as long to drive to Naperville as it would to drive to West Chicago. If you're gonna drive all that way anyway, I suggest going just a few extra miles west to Geneva for lunch at Bien Trucha. Your friend can get there in about 10 minutes. It'll take you an hour.

Or you could take one for the team and check out the Kitchen Nightmares place in La Grange, Cafe 36.

Second Meson Sabika

Anything around Oak Brook would be more half way if you are taking I-88 out. I'm in Batavia and I have a friend that lives near Sox park, that works out for us. Greek Islands, Reza's and Braxton Grill are among the places we meet at once every few months.
