    Kenny,

I fairness, I never described this as my fantasy. It was the filmmakers fantasy, and a tableau I thought many of the RR haters around here would enjoy.

I watched the promo and am not offended by Rachel Ray being set on fire. I understand that people who have not seen it may have reservations on the grounds it could be rooted in misogyny, but as a feminist I officially declare it to be fine :D

It would, however, be vastly improved if it were Dave Chapelle with the show lighting Jimmy Fallon on fire in any scenario, cooking or otherwise.

It's not particularly funny, but it's certainly not offensive or "aggressively unfunny". Sounds to me like sundevilpeg just got a brand new jump to conclusions mat.

Any "comedy" that attempts to promote violence against women as being somehow hilarious is "aggressively unfunny" in my book, be it Rachael Ray as target or anyone else.

Also, kindly keep your cheap personal insults on this matter to yourself in the future. My opinion on this matter is no less valid than yours.

I stated my opinion, based on having actually watched the spot. Based on your statements, the only thing that made sense was that you hadn't actually watched the spot, but had instead jumped to conclusions based on what stevez had said. I don't see how anything I said was remotely insulting towards you, except maybe that I disagreed and thought that you'd jumped to conclusions about the content and tone of the bit.

If you've actually watched the segment, and you believe that it promotes violence against women, well then we'll have to disagree and move on.

I find comedy that promotes violence against men to be aggressively unfunny, so this is no good.

This discussion seems to have devolved into an unproductive back-and-forth. So, we locked the thread.
