Im looking for a lunch destination for a casual work meeting in the south loop. Parking needed.
Cheetos are my favorite snack atm.

How about Opera? They have valet parking and a reasonably priced lunch. The food seems to swing between really good and mundane, but it's a lovely space.

    Manny's

I don't believe Mannys has parking which I believe is crucial to the original poster's criteria. I know I've spent "manny" an hour circling the Des Plaines, Roosevelt, Taylor, Jefferson radius searching for parking in my Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra edition. So needless to say I can sympathize with NAV Man's dilemma.

That being said, I do agree that Mannys is undoubtedly the quintessential south loop -40 something- destination.

Manny's has free valet parking along with a small lot behind the restaurant. I believe there's a pay lot across from the restaurant on Jefferson.

Thinking about trying Manny's in the near future. Can I get an idea what the parking fee is for the lot across the street? Thanks!

The valet is free, and the lot behind the restaurant (drive past it and turn right, and then right again), is also free. Street parking is $2/hr, I think.

Yeah, the free and relatively ample parking at Manny's is one of the many reasons to eat lunch there. Always has been.

Isn't the lot behind the restaurant, and the street parking adjacent very congested at the lunch hour? That's been my experience at Manny's over a long period of time. I haven't been there recently, so maybe the situation's improved. If someone doesn't mind walking a block or two from where they park to the restaurant, there'll be parking.

I guess I eat lunch at odd hours. Haven't noticed a big problem, though I walk or cab down more often. For me, parking lot congestion isn't an issue, as long as there's a spot for me. With the valet, there's really no problem.
