If we could oust Richard Daley from his current mayoral duties and replace him with a Chicago culinary luminary who would you choose?

Undoubtedly, I would have to go with Rick Bayless. His soft, calming demeanor would be the perfect contrast to our hard-nosed political environment, like gewurztraminer with a fine bleu cheese.

And as no politician can escape the skeletons in their closet luckily Bayless' only involve Burker King.

Let me know your thoughts and don't forget to provide a thorough explanation (preferably involving a food analogy)..........

Stefanie Izzard because she won Chicago Top Chef. She could probably win if she won based on name recognition alone. That tends to be a huge hurdle in any election.

Sorry for the lack of food analogy.

The owner of El Famous Burrito. They have duped so many ppl into thinking what they serve is good food. How many locations do they have now? They are obviously crooks, and would fit right into the "Chicago Political Scene."

If they were unavailable, then I would cast my vote for the owner of the Taco Burrito Palace joints.

Well then I'm afraid you receive an F, Eat Chicago.

Santander on the other hand receives an A based on his/her accurate depiction of Bayless' verbiage and diction.

    Congratulations Santander!

I'd vote for Paul Kahan. He would keep the "pork" flowing.

Actually the story's a lot more interesting than that. Which is not to say you might not be right, so far as it goes...
