We ate at Tank yesterday and were charged a dollar for a pot of tea. At first I thought it was because we were not vietnamese but I saw very few pots on the tables. A group of old vietnamese men were drinking tea and I wondered if they were charged for the stuff. Is this a growing trend at other asian establishments? I also thought that the noodle dishes were a tad high -$10.95 for Mi xao bah-last year it was $8.95. Of course it was delicious.
Went to Viceroy of India. Have not been there in a year or so- so I was pleasantly surprised at the makeover. Looks very nice. The food was excellent and the buffet price was $11.95. Of course this is cheap but IIRC, it was $8.95 last year.
Finally plenty of parking in front of both places-higher meter prices on Devon as well as Broadway. Usually both places are hard to find a place on the weekends. Neither restaurant was full. A few more empty storefronts on Devon as well.
