i want my baby back, baby back . . . but not from chili's

my favorite place for baby back ribs, timber's charhouse, closed some years ago. i'm still devastated, especially b/c my previous favorite place for baby back ribs, millers (on kinzie), closed eons ago. so, i'm on the hunt for a new favorite, preferably on the north side. best i've had have been from fat willy's, and they're mighty good, but i likes me some selection.

I'm not a baby back aficionado, preferring spares, but Smoque has an excellent rendition, better than Fat Willy's (which I actually do enjoy.) They're almost the best baby backs I've had in Chicagoland, second to when Chuck of Chuck's Southern Comfort Cafe pulls out his outdoor offset smoker for his Ultimate BBQ nights (which seem to run once a month these days--next one is on 5/24.)
