There are a number of places that I pass by with some regularity that intrigue me for one reason or another but that I have never frequented and that have not (to my knowledge and based on searches) been mentioned on LTH. So I thought I would throw these out and see if there is any intelligence on/experiences with these places and also invite others to inquire "Has anyone ever been to..." about places they are curious about but for which the LTH record is sparse or nonexistent. (And yes, I realize another solution is simply to eat at one of these places and post on it -- which I may well try to do one of these days.)
Cafe Sandwicheria is located at the three-way intersection of Milwaukee, Union and Hubbard (just northwest of the Paramount Room). It appears to be more or less a sandwich shop, albeit with some interesting offerings owing to a Mexican influence (including,
according to Centerstage, a "Mexican" panini with pastrami, Chihuahua cheese, chipotle mustard, avocado and pico de gallo -- which sounds like a mess, but may well just be a delicious mess). It's close to my home, but just about every time I'm out for a sandwich, Bari beckons and thus I've never made it. Bonus points for being a triangle-shaped space (with the door opening onto the "point" made where Milwaukee and Union intersect).

Hound Dog's is apparently a burger and dog/Korean fast food joint on Grand, just east of Western. I pass by it every Saturday on my way to and from Smith Park (where my son takes a Park District class). As with Hamburger King, the combo of greasy spoon/dog shack with fast food Asian intrigues me, but I've never stopped in.
Appears to be popular with the streets and san types.
