I visited the Coffee Studio for the first time this evening, and I plan to return. The place, which sits a few blocks north of the heart of Andersonville, has been open about a month, I reckon.

My almond croissant was flavorful, if slightly hard (presumably it had been there since this morning), but the caffe latte was spot-on. The interior was well designed but unpretentious (except for the chalkboard upon which were written obscure tips for brewing the ultimate espresso and explaining the Maillard reaction).

Chairs were comfortable and the baristas capable of some nice microfoam and latte art. Best of all, there's enough space between the tables that I would feel comfortable settling in for a long conversation or work session (as has become the norm, there's free WiFi). They use Intelligentsia beans (assume that's true of the espresso as well as drip).

    Any followups on this place?

Was there tonight. Don't have a ton to add to what fleurdesel said. They have a good array of drinks, comfortable seating, quiet enough music, and they make a damn good latte.

Prices are just barely higher than other places, but I think they use all organic milk, and they don't upcharge for soy which is nice.

The food looked tasty and well priced. The usual suspects were there: croissants, various breads/cakes (chocolate zucchini, cranberry orange, among others), some cookies.

Staff was incredibly friendly and seem to really know what they're doing. All in all, very pleasant. It's a very welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I recently spent the morning at The Coffee Studio.

Sixty minutes of free Wi-Fi are included with any purchase. I had no problems with the speed, but I was disconnected twice in as many hours.

The glazed currant scones, which cost $1.75, are tender and moist. Filled croissants are $2.50.

There's no parking lot, but you can park for free if you're willing to walk a couple of blocks (there are usually spaces east of Clark, on Bryn Mawr). You may have difficulty finding a metered space on Clark.

Music is kept low -- barely audible at times. The only artist I could identify was Bebel Gilberto.

They sell some vegan baked goods and quiche.

I live near this place and stop in at least once a week. Saw a sign recently that said they're going to start serving Miko's Italian Ice. They already serve Bleeding Heart Bakery cupcakes. The real draw, however, is the coffee.
